Recipe: Homemade Instant Oatmeal for Camping
Ingredients (serves 2):
- 1 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (adjust to your preference)
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- Toppings (dried berries, nuts, chocolate, cinnamon, etc.)

Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine with oats, sugar, and chia seeds. Mix thoroughly.
- Divide the oat mixture between two mason jars.
- Top with any mix-ins you’d like (I used freeze dried strawberries and chocolate chips in one, & peanut butter chips and cinnamon in the other).
- Seal tightly until ready to eat. To prepare, top the oat mixture with 1/2 cup boiling water. Place the lid back on the jar and allow to stand for 2 minutes. Enjoy!
