Report: NHTSA Releases its Latest List of RV Recalls

EDITOR’S NOTE: The following is the latest list of RV recalls compiled by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Per strict NHTSA protocols, manufacturers will next notify its dealer partners of the recall notice. Each notice will include details of the affected vehicles as well as the appropriate remedy.

• Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling six 2023 Salem, and Wildwood Travel Trailers. The brass fitting connected to the furnace pipe may have been manufactured without thread sealant. All affected trailers are still within dealer inventory and therefore no owner notification letters will be mailed.

• Grand Design RV, LLC (Grand Design) is recalling 232 2023 Transcend travel trailers. These vehicles were manufactured without an emergency exit window in the main living area. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 16, 2023.
