Las Vegas Resident Joins NRVTA Staff as Student Advisor

ATHENS, Texas – The National RV Training Academy (NRVTA) today (Aug. 23) announced the addition of Hola Motuapuaka to the staff as a new student advisor.

Hola Motuapuaka

A Hawaii native now living in Las Vegas with her husband and four children, she worked in public education from 2006 to 2014 when she served as an admissions advisor to a technical training center. For the past eight years, she orchestrated the marketing effort for her husband’s company, Status Sparkling Wine.

At NRVTA, Motuapuaka will work remotely to help people around the United States and Canada to evaluate whether a career as a certified RV technician or inspector would be a good fit for them. She will also work to process their applications and help them enroll in one of NRVTA’s training programs.

“With any new endeavor, people often have lots of questions. My job is to answer them to the best of my ability or direct them to other resources,” Motuapuaka explained. “There is a lot of interest in RV service-oriented careers today, especially from older people wanting to move out of the corporate environment into businesses of their own where they can enjoy more time, location and financial freedom.

“I worked at the same company with David Henderson before he became NRVTA’s national sales manager and reached out to me about working for the academy,” she added. “When he described his vision, the families behind the academy and the growth opportunities NRVTA provides, I wanted to be part of it. The kind of environment found at NRVTA is uncommon in industry today.”

The school was looking for someone in the Pacific time zone to respond to inquiries from prospective students and help them complete the enrollment process later in the day for much of the country, said Henderson.

“Hola came highly recommended to me by several mutual acquaintances. As I learned more about her background, I found her to be a talented, personable and creative professional,” he added. “Hola will help us advance NRVTA by matching our technical training programs with the right students who are hungry for success and looking for the right opportunity to help them achieve their goals.”

When she is not working, Motuapuaka spends a lot of time carting children to various activities, especially youth football and rugby. She can be reached at [email protected]
