Jackery Unveils its Portable Power Stations Yet
There were a lot of portable power stations on display at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last week. Some showed off impressive new battery tech, while others were large enough to serve as backup power solutions for use at home. But Jackery stayed focused on its core outdoor market, debuting two new models that bring more power and versatility to the campsite.
Tipping the scales at nearly 63 pounds, the Jackery Solar Generator 3000 Pro is the largest and most powerful unit the company has ever made. Fortunately, this power station comes with a built-in handle and a set of wheels that make it easier to move around. But that size also brings larger batteries, more charging ports, and a slew of onboard tech to make the power station safer and easier to use while camping.
The Solar Generator 3000 Pro has a 3024-watt-hour battery and is capable of producing a continuous power output of 3000 watts. The device includes four AC wall outlets, a 30-amp RV/EV outlet, a 12-volt car port, two USB-A, and two USB-C ports. This allows it to run various appliances, televisions, laptops, and mobile devices.
One of the 3000 Pro’s more impressive features is its ability to recharge its own batteries quickly. The power station can completely replenish its cells in just 2.5 hours using its included AC adapter. When connected to Jackery’s solar panels, that time climbs to a modest 3-4 hours depending on conditions. That is still very fast when recharging in the field using only the sun.
Jackery further expanded its power station line-up at CES by revealing the Solar Generator 1500 Pro. This model strikes a balance in terms of power and mobility, offering a 1512-watt-hour capacity and 1800 watts of continuous output. It comes with three AC outlets, a 12-volt car port, two USB-A, and two USB-C ports, all in a package that weighs about 37 pounds.
Both power stations feature zero emissions and generate minimal sound. This gives them a distinct advantage over traditional gas-powered models commonly used at campsites in the past. The Solar Generators are also shock – and fire-resistant and continue functioning in temperatures as low as -4ºF. They come with a full five-year warranty as well.
The Jackery Solar Generator 1500 Pro and 3000 Pro will go on sale in early 2023. Estimated pricing is around $1500 and $3000, respectively.
