GE Appliances Celebrating 70-Year Anniversary in 2023

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – In 1953, Appliance Park — home to GE Appliances’ global headquarters — shipped its first product, a GE clothes dryer.

For 70 years, Appliance Park has positively impacted Kentucky’s economy and American life. In fact, since 2016, GE has invested more than $2 billion to create good jobs and grow its manufacturing operations — both at  Appliance Park and across America.

As GE celebrates this milestone, the company says thank you to its employees for 70 years of innovation and to its appliance owners, customers and community partners for trusting and choosing GE.
