Canada’s Leisure Days RV Group Buys 1st U.S. Dealership
OTTAWA, Ont. – Building on a string of recent acquisitions, Leisure Days RV Group has snapped up Wana Engine Center, marking the Ottawa-based RV dealership group’s first American acquisition, according to reportinng by the Ottawa Business Journal.
A family business, Wana sells and services recreational vehicles and has been in business in Shipshewana, Ind. since 1980.
“We are expecting this partnership to help us better serve our current and future customers,” said Justin Miller, owner of Wana Engine Center, in a news release. “The RV retail business is changing very rapidly. We felt the leadership and experience (Leisure Days) can provide was important for us to grow as a company.”
“Wana Engine Center was an excellent choice for our first U.S. RV dealership,” said Pat Butler, CEO of Leisure Days RV Group. “The Miller family has built an amazing operation through their dedication and hard work. The dealership is consistently in the top five retail sales in the state of Indiana and has developed a 16-acre storage yard.
“It was 20 years ago when we started Leisure Days RV Group by opening RV Canada. We now start a new chapter with our first U.S. dealership,” added Butler, OBJ’s Lifetime Achievement award winner for 2022.
