B-Van Builder Dave & Matt Vans Opens New Colorado Facility

RIFLE, Colo. – Dave & Matt Vans, a 4-year-old, factory-direct “lifestyle vehicle” company that manufactures, sells and rents Class B motorhomes, is moving into a new 40,000-square-foot facility in Rifle, Colo., to support the continued growth of the Gypsum, Colo.-based firm, according to a release.

“Dave & Matt since 2019 Vans has built and sold B-vans out of Gypsum, Colorado, and has been heavily involved in the community, championing a Safe Parking Program proposal for van lifers within the Town of Eagle, Colorado,” the company stated. “With humble roots of two college friends building camper vans in a single car garage, the business has evolved (since 2019) from a van builder into a certified RV manufacturer which supports nearly 40 full-time employees and has over 500 vehicles on the road, spanning all 50 states.”

The Rifle campus has two warehouses, one for manufacturing RAM ProMaster-based camper vans and another for customer service, and the move is supported by a new computer numerical control (CNC) machine aimed at better controlling its entire manufacturing process, increasing overall efficiency, product quality and all customer offerings.

“By internalizing the entire production process in a single facility, Dave & Matt Vans is able to offer their Lifestyle Vehicles directly to their customers, eliminating product price increases through dealerships,” the company adds. “In order to support the company mission of ‘Making Van Life Accessible to Everyone,’ the company also offers nationwide shipping on all of its Lifestyle Vehicles.

“We’re extremely excited about our new facility which will allow us to continue our pursuit of making van life accessible to everyone,” added Dave Ramsay, co-founder and CEO of Dave & Matt Vans. “Our plan is to continue to make the best-bang-for-your-buck camper vans on the market while also expanding our product offerings to satisfy evolving customer demand.”

For 2023, the release noted, Dave & Matt Vans is compliant with RV Industry Association (RVIA) standards, meaning that it adheres to national safety standards and that its B-vans will continue to qualify for RV-specific financing and insurance.

Built around a mission to “make van life accessible to everyone with camper vans retailing from $84,495, the Colorado company recently forged a partnership with a unique membership organization called Kift through which “digital nomads, vanlifers and those seeking alternative lifestyles” can access Kift’s four “inclusive community hubs” in the western U.S. Kift also coordinates group van purchases for its members with vetted dealers and upfitters.
