Applications Sought for Tim DeWitt HARVEST Scholarship

The Tim DeWitt HARVEST Education Foundation is accepting scholarship applications for the 2023-2024 academic year, according to a release by the Michigan Association of Recreation Vehicles and Campgrounds (MARVAC). To be considered for the scholarship, applications are due by April 14.

HARVEST establishes educational programs and opportunities for students who wish to make a career in the RV and campground, manufactured housing or self-storage industry. In some cases, HARVEST will award scholarships to students even though their career goals may not lead them back to these industries. In cases like these, awards will be made to outstanding scholars or students with compelling needs.

The Tim DeWitt HARVEST Education Foundation is a nonprofit foundation created by the Michigan Manufactured Housing and the Recreation Vehicle and Campground Associations in 1991. In 2013, the Self Storage Association of Michigan was added to the HARVEST family.

The foundation has awarded over $400,000 in financial aid to more than 670 students.

A member of the RV/MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Ind., Tim DeWitt worked at MARVAC for 38 years, including serving as its executive director from 1984 until his retirement in 2016.
