Will This Man Trap an Alligator in His Trash Can? Watch It Go Down.
When you live in close proximity to wildlife, you’ll eventually have a wildlife encounter. This could be with a bear, a mountain lion, a coyote, or, if you’re in Florida, maybe an alligator. For Florida resident Eugene Geno Bozzi, it was an alligator, and he decided to try to trap it in a trash can. What happened next is almost unbelievable.
The encounter happened back in 2021, and Bozzi posted a video that an onlooker took to his Instagram profile. The video first shows Bozzi approaching an alligator in a front yard with a large trash can (like the one you put on your curb, not the one one you keep under the kitchen sink).
He manages to get the alligator’s head in the trash can, then flips the lid over, which hits the gator on the back and, shockingly, has the desired effect. As Bozzi works to get the alligator in the trash can, a group of people gather to cheer him on and provide some pretty hilarious commentary.
In his caption, Bozzi wrote: “don’t try this sh*t at home . . . could loose [sic] a body part.”
Bozzi doesn’t lose any body parts, thankfully. And you’ll be surprised to see how this one ends.

What Just Happened??
Can you believe that worked? From flipping the lid on the gator to coax it in to the way he turns the trash can around and flips the lid again as he drops the can to release the alligator across the street, Bozzi makes all of this seem remarkably well thought out.
As they say: Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear Adidas slides and catch alligators in trash cans. Then they release them safely.
Did you expect that to end the way it did?
