Whoops! Silverback Gorilla Is Mighty, But the Ground Is So Slippery

The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund recently shared footage of an embarrassing moment for a silverback gorilla—but don’t worry, only his pride got hurt. (And maybe not even that.) The silverback, Lisanga, is apparently a dominant fella, but a slippery ground can humble anyone . . . the gorilla beats its chest and then promptly slips and falls. We couldn’t help but chuckle.

“WHOOPS. Dominant silverback Lisanga took a little spill. It doesn’t matter how big and powerful you are—sometimes you fall!” wrote The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund on its Instagram post sharing the funny video. “(Don’t worry — Lisanga is just fine.)”

Lisanga likely thought he was alone, but unfortunately for him, someone was there with the camera rolling.
