Wholesale Shipments to Canada Down 60% Through June – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News

The Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association (CRVA) reports that RV Wholesale Shipments into Canada for the 2nd Quarter ending June 30, 2023 totaled 8,326 units compared to 20,436 in 2022, representing a decrease of 59.3% year over year.

According to Statistical Surveys Inc. the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based provider of industry data, RVDA of Canada reported that Retail Activity during the 2nd Quarter totaled 14,353 units and when compared to the wholesale shipment figure of 8,326. Canadian RV dealer inventory levels significantly decreased during the quarter, which would be considered an abnormal historical occurrence, according to a CRVA release.

CRVA commented on the report that “dealers continued to liquidate prior year inventory on hand combined with transportation delay issues contributed to the much higher than anticipated decrease during the quarter”. RV Wholesale Shipments into Canada YTD for the 1st 6 months ending June 30th was 15,408 vs 38,400 units in 2022 representing a decrease of 59.9% overall for the period.”
