WATCH: Mountain Biker Lands World’s First Quadruple Backflip
Back in May, a dream came true for extreme athlete Christian Arehart when he landed a quadruple backflip on his mountain bike. Arehart put months of effort into the project. He and his friends even built a special ramp and took a road trip across the country to attempt the elusive quad backflip at MidAmerica Outdoors, a park for outdoor recreation in Oklahoma—the perfect place to set a new mountain biking record.

“After months of extremely hard work and a lot of people and brands believing in me! I have landed the first quad backflip on a mountain bike!!” wrote Arehart in his post announcing the feat. Although Jed Mildon previously landed a quadruple backflip on a BMX bike, Arehart’s quad flip is the first on a mountain bike. Recent news coverage from Arehart’s hometown has his quad-flip video circling online once again.
