WATCH: Bear Raids Candy Shop in Tennessee

A black bear wandered inside a candy shop in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and a lot of people thought it was pretty funny that the bear was trying to steal some sweet treats. Wildlife officials think otherwise.

A video recently posted to Gatlinburg LIVE’s TikTok account shows a group of people gathered around the entrance to a candy shop. There’s a bear inside, and employees are trying to get it out. However, onlookers are blocking the doorway. By the end of the video, bystanders are starting to get the hint and moving away from the bear’s exit.

Wildlife officials say this might be a silly, borderline-ridiculous situation, but it certainly isn’t funny when bears become accustomed to eating human food. In some cases, bears that continuously go looking for free food end up being euthanized because they won’t leave humans alone.

As far as we know, the candy-shop bear made it out of the store without harming anyone or being harmed. Hopefully, it won’t be back.
