Video: The Class A Forest River Georgetown 5 Series is Built for RVing Families
With so many travel trailers, fifth-wheels, toy haulers, and destination trailers in its portfolio, it’s easy to forget that Forest River makes some outstanding motorized RVs, too. The company offers a range of Class B and C motorhomes, along with a line of well-appointed and comfortable Class A coaches. One of the more noteworthy models in that group is the Georgetown 5 Series, a gas-powered model with a long list of standard features. And as you’ll see in the video above, it just so happens to be an excellent option for RVing families.
The floorplan highlighted in the video is the Georgetown 5 Series 36F, which includes a range of impressive features like two full bathrooms, a king-size bed in the primary bedroom, and dual bunk beds. Heated and massaging power theater seating in the living area is also a standout feature, as is the large and comfortable U-shaped dinette that converts into another bed, giving the rig space to sleep up to six people.
As noted, the 36F comes with two full bathrooms, which is quite a luxury for any RV. Both include porcelain toilets, spacious showers with glass doors, stainless steel sinks, and a medicine cabinet. One of those baths is found mid-ship, while the other is located off the primary bedroom in the rear of the coach, allowing for a bit more privacy.
The Georgetown’s kitchen is another area worth noting, as it is modern, open, and well-equipped. The galley has solid-surface countertops and sink covers, a recessed three-burner LP cooktop, and a high-rise faucet. It even comes with a stainless steel microwave and traditional oven, along with a massive three-door residential refrigerator/freezer. A large pantry with pullout drawers and cabinets provides ample storage space.
This motorhome also has washer/dryer prep, an auto-starting 6,000W Yamaha generator, and a Firefly multiplexing system for controlling and monitoring lights, slides, holding tanks, and other components. Dual A/C units keep the cabin cool and comfortable in the summer, while a 35k BTU furnace provides enough warmth for cool-weather camping. A 2,000W pure sine wave inverter, residential vinyl flooring, and LED lighting throughout are just a few of the many, many other features.
Watch the video above to get a full sense of what the Georgetown 5 Series 36F is all about. Then, head on over to the Forest River website to learn more about this Class A family hauler.
