NAPPANEE, Ind. – Gulf Stream Coach, America’s largest family-owned RV manufacturer, announces an expanded focus on its Trail Boss series of ultra-lightweight overland travel trailers for 2025, including two new floorplans. This strategic expansion meets growing consumer demand for compact trailers towable by a wide range of vehicles, according to a company release.
“The Trail Boss series represents the future of accessible camping,” said Phil Sarvari, president of Gulf Stream Coach. “We’re seeing strong market demand for trailers that don’t require heavy-duty trucks to tow, while still offering premium amenities and build quality.”
The Trail Boss lineup features dry weights starting at 1,500 pounds, with compact dimensions allowing many models to fit in standard residential garages. Standard features across the series include:
- Solar power energy management systems
- Off-grid capable refrigeration
- Increased ground clearance for off-road capability
- Streamlined exterior design
- Complete kitchen amenities
- Climate control systems
The new 170RQ floor plan exemplifies the series’ efficiency, offering a walk-around queen bed, full bath, and kitchen within an 18’2″ length and 6’9″ width. At just 2,410 pounds dry weight, it maintains easy towability while providing 1,450 pounds of cargo capacity.
“Trail Boss delivers on our promise of ‘go anywhere, go anytime’ freedom,” said Sarvari. “Whether you drive a small SUV or a pickup truck, there’s a Trail Boss model engineered for your vehicle’s capabilities.”
The expanded Trail Boss series is available at Gulf Stream Coach dealerships nationwide.
