Video: Grand Design Shares First Glimpse of New Lineage Class C Model
A few weeks back, Grand Design revealed that after a decade of exclusively manufacturing towables it was preparing to release its first motorized RV. The announcement was accompanied by a short video clip that offered very little information about the new vehicle other than its name—Lineage. Now, we’re starting to get more details on this exciting development, including our first look at the model in question.
The video above starts by taking us through Grand Design’s own lineage, showing off several of its most popular and recognizable towable models. The 27-second clip then briefly introduces a Class C vehicle with the “Lineage” logo prominently on display. Beyond that, it doesn’t share any further details, but fortunately for us, that information is starting to be revealed elsewhere.
Yesterday, RV News shared the digital edition of its May 2024 issue. In it, you’ll find an in-depth article that spells out Grand Design’s plans as they move into the motorized market. Their first model—the Class C revealed above—is part of the Lineage M-Series line. It’s built on a Mercedes Sprinter chassis using a diesel engine and is slated to be officially revealed to dealers this summer. Other options will follow over the next 18-24 months, including the Class B Lineage T-Series riding on the Ford Transit Trail platform and the gas-powered Class C E-Series and Super C F-Series riding on the Ford E350 or 450 and Super Duty chassis, respectively.
Obviously, pricing, options, and floorplan details are still forthcoming, and it will be exciting to see these models roll out in the months ahead. For now, we’ll just have to be patient and wait for Grand Design to share more information. You can even sign up to be among the first to know more on the company’s website.
