Video: Go Inside Airstream’s Smallest and Lightest Travel Trailer
At 16′ 1″ in length and a GVWR of 3,500 lbs., the Airstream Bambi 16RB is the smallest and lightest in the iconic RV manufacturer’s catalog. But, it still carries the “Airstream” logo, which means it is a high-quality product packed full of great features. The video above takes us on a walkthrough of the diminutive travel trailer and gives us a look at what makes it so special.
The 16RB floorplan includes a spacious dinette with room for four people and a compact kitchen that includes a stove, microwave, sink, and a mini-fridge. Overhead cupboards provide storage space for food, dishes, and other accessories, while glass stove and sink covers offer additional counterspace for meal prep. The small wet bath efficiently uses the available floor space, incorporating a sink, toilet, and shower inside the trailer. It even has a pass through portal to create an outdoor shower when needed.
The primary sleep space is found in the rear of the Bambi, where a comfortable 48″ x 78″ memory foam mattress creates a quiet place to rest at the end of a busy day. Of course, the dinette converts into a second bed for guests or an extra lounge area as needed. Large windows allow plenty of natural light to reach the interior, with efficient LED lighting providing illumination after dark.
Other nice features include plenty of onboard storage, USB and 110V charging ports, a retractable awning, and a Bluetooth wireless sound system. The Bambi comes with air conditioning, heating, and an enclosed and heated underbelly for extended-season outings. It is equipped with a 23-gallon freshwater tank, a 30-gallon gray/black tank, 30-amp shore power hookups, four manual stabilizer jacks, and a lot more. Solar and lithium-ion battery upgrades are optional.
Check out the video above for a full tour of the Bambi 16RB. Not only will you get the chance to see all of the features mentioned, but you’ll also get a nice sense of how the trailer is laid out and what its interior living space is like.
