‘Unbelievable Scene’ Shows Leopard Snatch Impala From Mid-Air

“An UNBELIEVABLE scene,” wrote Klaserie Drift Safari Camps in a recent Instagram post sharing an incredible video of a leopard as it snatches an impala out of mid-air. The footage is pretty unbelievable, and after you see it, you’ll want to watch it at least one more time.

A safari guest of Klaserie Drift Safari Camps in South Africa captured the moment a young leopard was stalking prey, and then the prey came straight to him. You can see the moment the predator realizes an impala is heading in its direction and switches up its strategy.

“[A] young male leopard, Tumbela, was spotted stalking an impala just a block away from where wild dogs were also hunting,” Klaserie Drift Safari Camps wrote in the caption. “Instantly spotting the opportunity, he switched targets just in time to leap up and snatch the fleeing impala mid air, grasping it by the throat to stifle any sound and quickly suffocate the unfortunate animal.”
