ELKHART, Ind. – Truma North America will celebrate Earth Day with its annual Spring Clean-Up Event at High Dive Park in Elkhart, Ind. In addition, new signage will be unveiled, naming Truma as the corporate sponsor of High Dive Park. Truma was the first company to join the city’s Adopt-a-Park program last fall, and since then, employee volunteers have assisted with maintenance projects at their adopted park on a bi-monthly basis, according to a release.

“Enhancing and preserving our parks is a community job, and we are blessed to have businesses like Truma dedicate their time and energy to impact these in a positive way,” said Jamison Czarnecki, Superintendent of Elkhart Parks and Recreation. “Truma helped us clear out a significant growth of honeysuckle in just a few hours back in November as well as pick up a few bags of trash within the park. Collaborations like this allow us to maximize our output, save taxpayer dollars, and allow businesses to connect with the community in a new way. We look forward to growing the Adopt-a-park program and having more organizations involved.”

Truma and the Elkhart Parks Department would like to invite the community to join us at High Dive Park on Saturday, April 20th, 2024, at 9 am for the unveiling of the city’s first Adopt-a-park signs.

“We are incredibly proud to be the first participants in the Adopt-a-park program. It’s a great way for us to give back,” said Truma VP of Sales and Marketing Tim Williams. “And, while we work in the RV industry, many of us still spend 40 hours a week in an office, so it’s a great excuse for our team to get outside, enjoy nature, share some laughs and food, and leave this unique local park better than we found it for the enjoyment of everyone in the Elkhart community.”

Truma’s 4th annual Spring Clean-Up Event will be held immediately after the dedication. From 9 am to 1 pm, volunteers will assist in litter removal, invasive species removal, and other beautification projects. The Parks and Recreation Department will provide trash pickers and other tools, but attendees should bring their own work gloves and wear comfortable, durable footwear. Beginning at 9:30 am, Truma will also be leading a nature scavenger hunt for children in attendance.

In addition to the event at High Dive Park, Truma will also sponsor the Elkhart Environmental Center’s annual family Earth Day Celebration. The event will be held on Saturday, April 20th, from 10 am to 1 pm at the Environmental Center.
