Truma Expands Comfort with New Gasoline-Fueled Combi System in North America | I Heart RVing

Elkhart, IN – September 23, 2024 – Truma North America is elevating RV heating convenience once again with the launch of the Truma Combi G, its first gasoline-based system for North American RVers. Designed as a streamlined single-fuel option, the Combi G heats both cabin space and water, replacing the need for propane in favor of a gasoline-only model for Class B and Class C RVs.

Truma’s Head of Business Development, Nick Dunning, shared insights behind the shift: “As our RV manufacturing partners lean more into electric options, eliminating propane fits right into their vision. The Combi G simplifies the experience for RV owners by running on the same gasoline as the vehicle’s engine, offering a straightforward heating solution without a secondary fuel.”

Set to roll out this fall, Truma’s new Combi G comfort and comfort plus models are available for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) installations, built specifically to integrate with Dodge and Ford chassis. Designed with the same compact, space-saving footprint as its propane-fueled sibling, the Combi G enables easy swaps for RV builders looking to offer customers a single-fuel heating alternative.

Field tester George Larson, who’s been on the road with a Combi G system, shared his experience: “We’ve used the furnace every single night. By now, I would’ve had to refill our propane tank several times. Not having to worry about finding propane is a small but noticeable stress-reliever for anyone living the RV lifestyle.”

In addition to the single-fuel convenience, the Combi G brings Truma’s latest feature—a high-altitude kit integrated directly into the unit. This upgrade lets the system adapt automatically to varying elevations, providing worry-free heating for RVers who enjoy the spontaneity of high-altitude camping.

The Combi G marks Truma’s second foray into single-fuel solutions in North America, joining the diesel-fueled Combi D comfort plus, which launched in 2021.
