Truma and Aero Build Take Electric Travel Trailer on a Summer Road Trip
OEM accessories provider Truma and RV manufacturer Coast are setting out on a summer road trip to show off their latest collaboration. The two companies are taking an all-electric travel trailer on a journey across Tennessee and North Carolina to show off an innovative and exciting new towable that features a quiet and efficient Truma Aventa air conditioning system.
The Coast Model 1 is a luxurious travel trailer built for off-grid camping. The RV features an 810 amp-hour lithium battery pack and an array of solar panels capable of generating up to 1360 watts of power. The towable is equipped with a variety of electric appliances and components, making it an excellent option for boondockers.
Truma’s Aventa air conditioner plays a crucial role in keeping the interior of the Coast trailer comfortable. The unit produces 15,000 BTU/h of cooling capacity and includes air circulation and dehumidification modes. It also happens to be very efficient, making it an excellent component for use in an electric RV, where power-sipping appliances can greatly prolong battery life.
“When we started forming the blueprint for Coast, we were immediately drawn to Truma systems, and the Truma Aventa made perfect sense,” said Brian Fuente, the Founder and CEO of Coast. “Its sleek, low-profile design and smooth lines both inside and outside of the trailer were aesthetically pleasing while the specs met our desire to stay all-electric.”
Coast is based in Nashville, TN, where sister brand Aero Build manufactures its travel trailers. That city makes the perfect launching point for a summer road trip to Wilmington, NC, and back, with stops in Asheville and Raleigh en route. Throughout that journey, Truma and Coast will host consumer events to introduce the all-electric RV and demonstrate how well the Aventa keeps the vehicle cool and comfortable.
“We look forward to opportunities such as this when we can showcase our systems in action, and to do so with a partner like Coast is even more exciting,” said Gerhard Hundsberger, President and CEO of Truma North America, in a press release. “This all-electric RV aligns with our commitment to sustainable travel and showcases our dedication to pushing the boundaries of innovation.”
To find out where the Coast Model 1 is currently located—and where you can check it out for yourself—follow the road trip on social media. Both Truma and Coast will be sharing updates throughout the journey, which can be found by searching for the hashtag #TrumaXCoast.
“Our Truma team is looking forward to seeing new faces and finding new friends as we embark on this remarkable road trip to North Carolina,” said Hundsberger. “Together Truma and Coast are ready to join the ultimate embodiment of comfort with innovation and the joy of exploration.”
