GRAPEVINE, Texas – While the industry is seeing a general decline in retail sales, there are still a large number of RV owners enjoying their RV’s, according to a press release from Specialized Dispatch Services (SDS).
As RVers continue to enjoy the outdoors they continue to come across situations where they could use a little advice or direction on how to properly use the various components found in their RVs, the release stated. Technical assistance calls vary from troubleshooting or problem solving to simple guidance.
“For the third quarter of 2023 we see fairly consistent reasons RVers are seeking help. Compared with the preceding second quarter, the top ten list remained the same with some items changing in order. Refrigerators remained at the top of the list with power taking spot number two followed by HVAC then water heaters. Call volume remained fairly consistent as well with a general annualized use of approximately 8%, meaning 8% of units/customers with the service utilized the technical assistance services, during the 3rd quarter of 2023. As compared to 2022, the utilization rate is essentially the same,” according to the release.
