Top Technical Assistance Questions from RVers in Q2 ’23

The 2nd Quarter of 2023 proved to be another busy period for the RVing community, according to a release from Specialized Dispatch Services (SDS), which provides providing third party dispatch and assistance services for customers who desire “Ultra High Quality” customer care.

As SDS provides virtual technical and troubleshooting assistance services, officials said it supports what “pain points” the average RV user is experiencing.  While the industry is seeing less wholesale deliveries than previous years, SDS is seeing higher retail sales against those deliveries. “We are also seeing continued high usage of RV’s as the public continues to see RVing as a great way to explore North America, spend time with family, and enjoy vacations,” officials stated.

For the second quarter of 2023, SDS is some changes in where RVers are seeking help. Compared with the preceding first quarter, a few items remained at the top – water heaters, slides, leveling, and electrical questions – while a couple of items logically fell out of the top 10, with furnaces and batteries being the notables. Interestingly, refrigerators take over the top spot as temperatures heat up and, naturally, SDS is seeing more A/C and HVAC events as well.

SDS currently provides services to a large number of RV households, which is growing daily, this gives the company a unique insight into the problems/issues that RVers are experiencing.  To assist the industry to best plan and prepare for service and support needs, SDS will be providing quarterly updates that identify the most frequent reasons RV owners are seeking technical assistance and at times physical service.
