Thor Adds Four New Class B Camper Vans to Lineup

Thor Motor Coach is in Elkhart, Indiana, for this week’s industry Open House event, showing off its latest vehicles to dealers and media. The company is showcasing several new models, including updated versions of the Class A Palazzo GT and Class C Quantum LP27. But the RV manufacturer is also garnering plenty of attention with several new Class B camper vans, including two designed for off-road use.

Built on the new Ford Transit Trail chassis, the 2024 Palladium and Talavera come with all-wheel drive and a host of other off-road features. The two vans are equipped with lift kits that improve ground clearance and ship from the factory with rugged all-terrain tires. Rock slider bars add extra protection to the frame of the vehicles, while enhanced traction modes keep them moving over a variety of rough terrains.

Both models offer near identical floorplans and are designed to comfortably sleep two. They come with a kitchenette that includes a single-burner induction cooktop, a microwave, a stainless-steel sink, and a mini-fridge. A foldout table is perfect for mealtime or serves as a workstation when needed. An onboard wet bath provides a shower after a hard day on the trail, while a 1,200Wh lithium battery pack and 200W solar panel provide clean power wherever you wander.

The off-road Palladium and Talavera aren’t the only new camper vans Thor has on display in Elkhart this week. The company also revealed the Sanctuary 24C and Tranquility 24C models. These Class B vehicles ride on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter platform, providing a more refined and comfortable experience. Both options offer an ample interior living space with a foldout sleeping area, wet bath, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable seating for up to four people. The two new floorplans also incorporate a generous amount of storage and an innovative solar charge controller with 200W roof-mounted solar panels.

Unfortunately, the Elkhart Open House event is not open to the public, so most of us can’t just wander by to see what’s new. But fear not, as Thor has posted a preview of these Class B models—and numerous other RVs—on its website. You can check it out by clicking here.
