There’s a Bear in This Photo. Can You Find It?

“There is a bear in this photo. Do you see it?” A challenge from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) on Instagram tasks followers to find a hidden bear in a photo of a forested area. The photo is from earlier this summer in central Washington state. USFWS used the opportunity to engage its followers and share some safety tips for hiking in bear country.

USFWS shares the same photo three times in a carousel. With each swipe, the bear becomes more visible, and the third version of the photo in the series is zoomed up on the bear’s face. For hints, scroll down below the photo.

See if you can find the bear here:

Hint 1: The bear is brown in color, although it’s not necessarily a brown bear. (Both brown and black bears live in Washington state, but some black bears are brown in color, so this bear could be either.)

Hint 2: The bear is in front of a tree.

Once you find the bear, try your hand at some more hidden-animal photos.

Can You Spot the Hidden Animals in All These Photos?

Were you able to find it without swiping to the answer? It wasn’t easy!
