Its suite of RV-specific, tablet-style navigators can customize routes based on the size and weight of your rig. Plus, the touch-screen, voice-operable devices offer a built-in database of thousands of RV parks, campgrounds, gas stations and other points of interest, along with updates on traffic, weather and gas prices. Low bridge looming? Sharp turn ahead? Trust the GPS OGs to give you a heads-up. Available in 7-, 8-, and 10-inch tablet sizes. Starting at $450.

Heading Off-Road?

An alternative navigator, the Garmin Overlander, has all the functionality of the brand’s RV Series, plus features specifically for the anti-pavement crowd: preloaded topo maps and 4×4 routes for North and South America, 64GB of storage for uploaded satellite imagery, military spec construction for ruggedness and rustproofing. At $700, it’s a little pricier than its civilian counterpart.
