The Best Class A Motorhomes Over $250,000

A while back, we shared our picks for the best Class A motorhomes with a price tag of $250,000 or less. As it turns out, there are plenty of options that fall into that category, giving RV buyers some excellent models to choose from. But what if your budget allows you to shop for something more upscale and luxurious? Once again, there are a surprising number of motor coaches to comb through, some with features that have to be seen to be believed.

If your bank account affords you the opportunity to buy an RV that costs more than $250,000, congratulations, you’re in rarified company. These are the models you’ll want to consider as you shop for the perfect luxury home on wheels.

Newmar King Aire

While pretty much everything in the Newmar lineup is fantastic, the King Aire is the company’s flagship model. As such, this motor coach oozes luxury and class, offering an upscale experience that is only matched by a custom build. If money is no object, this is a model you have to have on your short list of possibilities.

Riding on a Spartan K3 chassis and powered by a 605-horsepower Cummins X15 diesel engine, the King Aire offers a refined and comfortable ride. At 44’ 11” in length, the coach is large and spacious but surprisingly maneuverable. Newmar’s Comfort Drive system integrates four-wheel steering to make driving as easy and stress-free as possible while driver-assist features like a heated steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, TPMS, and lane-keep assist are nice additions, too.

Inside, the King Aire is like an upscale apartment on wheels. Standard features include maple hardwood cabinets, tile floors, Auto-Motion power shades, cathedral ceilings, and quartz countertops. As you would expect, residential-style appliances abound in the kitchen, including an all-electric induction cooktop, a stainless steel Viking refrigerator, and a dishwasher. The coach even has four Samsung 4K OLED TVs, a Bose sound system, and a doorbell with a built-in video camera.

This is just the tip of the iceberg of everything the King Aire has to offer. Buyers will also find additional niceties, like an electric fireplace, a glass-enclosed shower, a heated couch, and even a built-in safe. All of these luxuries don’t come cheap, though, as this motorhome starts at $1,637,440.

Tiffin Zephyr

Tiffin’s Class A Zephyr is another plush motorhome with upscale features and amenities. This model is 45’ in length, has a bath and a half, and, depending on the configuration, can sleep three to five people. It rides on the Freightliner PowerGlide SL chassis and has the same 605HP Cummins X15 engine found on the King Aire. 12.5kW Onan diesel generator provides power at the campsite, while 237 cubic feet of storage means you never have to leave anything at home.

The Zephyr comes standard with hydronic heating, a Spyder Controls multiplex system, and three 15,000 BTU low-profile air conditioners. The vehicle ships with a Starlink Pro receiver and is prewired for other satellite TV and internet services. It comes with six 300Ah house batteries and is prepped for solar with the option to add up to six 200W panels directly from the factory.

The motorhome’s interior is open, airy, and sophisticated. It features a king-size bed in the primary bedroom, which is also adorned with hardwood drawers and cabinets, a 4K smart TV, and a fireplace. It sits next to a massive en suite bathroom complete with dual sinks, a large shower, and a porcelain toilet. The kitchen area has a residential fridge, an open dinette that doubles as a workspace, and a dishwasher. Meanwhile, the living room includes two couches and a lift TV. A washer and dryer are also standard.

The Tiffin Zephyr sells for $868,347.

Fleetwood Palisade

The Fleetwood Palisade’s $673,188 MSRP may not seem like much of a bargain, but compared to some of the other coaches on this list, it is a steal. Fleetwood managed to deliver a luxury diesel pusher at a price well below many of its competitors without having to make a lot of obvious compromises.

The Palisade is available in three floorplans, each of which stretches 44’ 8” in length. The coach rides on a custom Freightliner chassis and has a Cummins L9 engine with 450HP and a stunning 1,250 ft-lbs. of torque. A 150-gallon fuel tank gives the RV plenty of range, while fresh, gray, and black water tank capacities are 100, 75, and 50 gallons, respectively.

The interior of the Palisade offers everything you could ask for in a Class A model and then some. Hardwood cabinetry, heated floors, LED accent lighting, polished solid-surface countertops, and porcelain tile flooring are just a few of the many amenities. Others include a 100W solar package, a dishwasher, a power motion lounge, and a fireplace. In other words, all of the swanky features you could ask for at a price well below the competition.

Holiday Rambler Endeavor

For something a little more reasonably priced, the Holiday Rambler Endeavor delivers an excellent Class A experience at a price well below the opulent models listed above. This expansive and elegant RV is classy yet understated, both inside and out. Eye-catching exterior graphics do help this coach standout at the campground, however, giving it a look and personality all its own.

Holiday Rambler builds the Endeavor on its own custom chassis manufactured by Freightliner. A Cummins 360HP engine provides power to the motorhome, which is available in two distinct floorplans. Both models include a spacious bedroom with a king bed, two bathrooms, and large living room area.

The kitchen is a true standout, with solid-surface countertops, a stainless steel sink, and a high-rise residential faucet with a pullout sprayer. LED accent lighting provides natural and energy-efficient illumination, while four TVs—including one in an outdoor entertainment center—stream video thanks to a built-in LTE Wi-Fi router. An Aqua-Hot 400D water heater paired with a 105-gallon freshwater tank provides long hot showers, while a heated porcelain tile floor keeps your feet warm in cool temperatures.

All of this can be yours for a starting price of $486,218.

Entegra Coach Reatta

Entegra Coach is another RV manufacturer known for its outstanding Class A models. The company’s entire line is fantastic, with the Reatta marking an especially noteworthy entry point for buyers looking for a powerful and beautiful diesel coach. This motorhome punches well above its weight class in terms of luxury and refinement, delivering exceptional quality in a package that is easy to love.

The Reatta is the only motorhome on this list to use Spartan K1 chassis, which comes with a Cummins 6.7L turbocharged engine with 360HP. Entegra offers the vehicle in three different floorplans, including a bunkhouse model that sleeps up to eight, depending on the configuration. Each model comes with multiple slide-outs that give the interior a more open feel. A powerful HVAC system—with up to three air conditioners—helps keep the cabin cozy in a variety of conditions, while 200W of standard solar recharges the house batteries using clean energy from the sun.

Inside, the Reatta is sufficiently swanky, with the usual suite of amenities. Those include an electric fireplace, premium leather furniture, and a king-size bed with a pillow-top mattress. But there are plenty of unexpected luxuries, too, like a central vacuuming system, hand-laid porcelain tile floors, a filtered water system on the stainless steel kitchen sink, and a Showermiser system in the bathroom. There is even an exterior entertainment center, a Winegard satellite dish, slideout basement storage trays, a washer and dryer, and a tankless water heater, all standard.

Not bad for an MSRP of $451,350.

Thor Outlaw

There aren’t a lot of Class A toy haulers to choose from, but the Thor Outlaw makes a compelling argument as to why more brands should offer one. This excellent coach is built on the Ford F-53 chassis and comes with a 7.3L V8 engine that produces 335HP. That gives it plenty of power to get on down the road while still carrying your favorite outdoor equipment. It can even tow up to 8,000 lbs., meaning you can bring a lot of toys with you when traveling.

Available in two floorplans—each with a 10’ 2” garage—the Outlaw is 39’ 10” in length and comfortably sleeps six adults. The rear cargo ramp converts into a patio at the campground, with its own LED-lit awning providing shade. A three-season patio door with a screen provides easy access and airflow, while built-in auxiliary fuel tanks make it easy to gas up motorcycles, ATVs, and other power toys.

The Outlaw’s interior features an 80” ceiling that makes it feel cavernous inside. It features LED lighting throughout, an Onan QG 5500 gas generator, dual 13,500 BTU A/C units, and a 500W solar package that connects to four house batteries. The bedroom is equipped with a king or queen-size bed, depending on the model, while the kitchen includes solid-surface countertops, a double-bowl stainless steel sink, and a two-burner stove. Wireless smartphone charging pads, a Winegard Connect 5G wireless internet extender, and three LED smart TVs round out a long list of features. All for a starting price of $295,350.

Winnebago Adventurer

With a starting price of $252,851, the Winnebago Adventurer barely makes it onto our list, but in the best way possible. That doesn’t mean it is lacking in features and amenities, however, as this motor coach packs a lot of value into its 35’+ frame. That starts with Winnebago’s excellent build quality and customer service, which are amongst the best in the business. But it also includes nice touches like ample storage and open floorplans.

Like the Thor Outlaw, the Adventurer rides on an F-53 chassis and is driven along by the same 7.3L V8 engine. Driver-assist features include stability and traction control, adaptive cruise, lane keep alerts, hill start assist, auto beam control, and more. A Sony infotainment system with a 9” touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto are welcome additions.

Each of the Adventurer’s three floorplans is unique and different but does share some similar qualities. Those include things like an electric fireplace, a power heated/massage sofa, residential vinyl flooring, and LED accent lighting throughout. The galley kitchen is well stocked, as well, with high-quality appliances, a double stainless steel sink, and Corian countertops. A king-sized bed comes standard, as does two powerful A/C units and a 40,000 BTU ducted in-floor furnace, making four-season camping a real possibility.

Those are our picks for the best Class motorhomes with a price tag above $250,000. As you can see, each of them has a lot to offer. The question is, which one fits into your budget and makes the most sense for your travels. Thankfully, there are no wrong answers.
