The 2023 Fleetwood Frontier GTX is Built for Work and Play
The past few years have seen a seismic change in how many of us work. In fact, according to a recent study, nearly half of all Americans now have the opportunity to work remotely at least part of the time. Most of those individuals work from home, although an increasing number are taking advantage of this newfound freedom to work from anywhere, setting up shop in fun and productive places.
Unsurprisingly, the RV industry has been evolving to meet the needs of this mobile workforce, introducing features and floor plans to help facilitate work while on the road. The latest RV manufacturer to cater to these digital nomads is Fleetwood, which recently unveiled the 2023 edition of its Frontier GTX model. This Class A motorhome comes with an array of upscale amenities that make it enticing to any RVer, including one floorplan that comes with a dedicated office.
Built on a custom Freightliner chassis and powered by a Cummins 6.7L diesel engine, the Frontier GTX is a swanky RV, to say the least. The 37-foot motorhome comes with three 15,000 BTU air conditioning units, a full-size bathroom complete with a glass shower door, and multiple slide-outs. The primary bedroom suite includes a king-size bed, while the kitchen is equipped with residential-style appliances and a stainless steel farmhouse galley sink.
Fleetwood offers the Frontier GTX in two different floor plans, both of which have their own unique characteristics. But it is the 37RT edition that is built specifically with remote workers in mind. This model includes the aforementioned office space at the rear of the vehicle, which comes with an L-shaped desk, overhead shelves, and additional storage space. It also has a built-in monitor and multiple power outlets for connecting a laptop, printer, and other equipment. An optional LTE cellular antenna adds wireless internet throughout the vehicle and boosts cellphone service for added productivity.
In a press release announcing the new Frontier GTX, REV Recreation Group’s Class A product manager Dough Miller said, “We developed the 37RT office configuration after listening to our current customers, as well as new owners entering the RV space.” He added, “We found quite a bit of interest in the ability to work remotely and have children engage in distance learning. Based on that, we wanted to offer a floorplan that could accommodate the new reality of living, working, and educating anywhere.”
“If you think about a family who’s traveling in a 37-foot RV, activities can continue in the main living area of the coach while someone is in the secluded office conducting a call, responding to emails, or taking a test,” said Miller. “We feel the 37RT floorplan provides privacy, flexibility, and function without sacrificing any of the features and amenities that are important to RVers.”
Other amenities include porcelain tile flooring throughout the cabin, solid-surface countertops, and privacy windows on all sides. The Frontier GTX has an 8,000 watt-hour Onan generator, a 100-gallon fuel tank, and a 100-gallon freshwater tank. The motorhome also comes with a large pass-through storage compartment underneath for safely and securely transporting cargo.
Fleetwood expects to offer the Frontier GTX with additional floor plans in 2023. For further information about the current offerings, visit the company’s website.
