Surprising Macro Photos Show What Tiny Creatures REALLY Look Like

You might think you know what an ant looks like or what a spider looks like, but there’s a good chance you don’t. Ivan Zivkovic takes macro photos of insects and other tiny creatures, like arachnids, and the results are surprising. In close-up detail, these animals look way different than you’d think. Zivkovic’s work is fun and shocking and a little mind blowing, too.

A recent video from Daily Dose of Art on Instagram highlights Zivkovic by compiling several of his videos. The videos show Zivkovic hard at work alongside the end results of his efforts. For instance, you see Zivkovic hunched over a leaf or a fence post with his camera, then he points to the tiny creature he was photographing, then it cuts to the photos he took.

And the photos are just incredible. They provide a whole new appreciation for the tiniest creatures many of us walk right past every day while outdoors.
