Space Still Available for All-Female RV Technician Training Class – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News

ELKHART, Ind. – With less than three weeks until the next all-female RV tech training class, there are still limited seats available for women who are looking to start a new career as an RV technician or supercharge their existing role by becoming a certified RV technician, according to a release.

If working as a tech is not preferred, this knowledge can still prove to be extremely useful in any current positions within the RV industry. The training, provided through a partnership between the RV Women’s Alliance (RVWA) and the RV Technical Institute (RVTI), is taking place on May 6-10, in Elkhart, Ind.

The all-female tech class will provide women the opportunity to learn from industry professionals in a hands-on environment, mastering cutting-edge skills specific to the RV industry. This unique and innovative educational initiative not only promotes inclusion but paves the way for a new generation of skilled and certified female RV techs.

“Time and again, studies have proven that companies with a diverse workforce perform better, innovate more, and have a stronger bottom line. Our partnership with RVTI is a leap in that direction,” says Susan Carpenter, president of RVWA. “We’re not just creating a more inclusive RV industry, we’re setting women up for success in a field where they have been historically underrepresented.”

“In an industry traditionally dominated by men, this milestone partnership signifies both organizations’ commitment to empowering women and driving gender diversity in the technical side of the RV industry,” said RV Technical Institute Executive Director Curt Hemmeler. “Any women with a passion for technology and an interest in the RV industry should join the class. It is a unique opportunity to acquire practical tech skills, network with industry professionals, and boost your career prospects.”

The class will cover a variety of topics, including RV systems, repairing techniques, and modern technological advances in the industry. Through this, the participants will gain a deeper understanding of the functionalities and mechanisms of RVs, preparing trainees for a wide range of careers within the RV industry.

The cost of the class is $600 and includes not only the one-week Level 1 training but also access to RVTI’s Level 2 training either in-person, online, or in the hybrid program. Interested women can apply for the class here.
