Snow Leopards Chase Each Other on Impossibly Sheer Cliff

If there wasn’t video evidence, we wouldn’t believe it’d be possible for two snow leopards to run around on the side of a sheer cliff in a remote part of India. Thankfully, there is video evidence, and it’s mind blowing. Nick Negi was visiting Spiti Valley in the Himalayas, specifically the Chicham Bridge, when he apparently spotted two rare snow leopards. When he zooms out, you realize the animals are on the side of a sheer cliff face, and then they start chasing each other.

At the start of Negi’s video, which he posted to Instagram a few weeks ago with hashtags suggesting his location, you see a close-up of a snow leopard. It appears to look right at him. Then, the video zooms out, and the action begins.

Earlier today, Negi posted additional footage mashed up with the original footage. He adds “Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary” as overlaid text. Kibber is a village high up in Spiti Valley that houses a small wildlife sanctuary, home to snow leopards.
