The Glamping Show USA, wrapped up Wednesday (Oct. 5) at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds in Aurora, Colo., on a high note, with an attendee increase of 37% over the 2021 show.
“We had 1,450 trade visitors that came from 32 countries,” David Korse, the organizer of the show, told Woodall’s Campground Magazine, a sister publication to RVBusiness. “The expo portion of the event grew by 60% from 70 last year to 112 in 2022. Exhibitors came from 11 countries (U.S., Canada, Mexico, UK, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, South Africa, Australia and South Korea). Even the weather was mostly great!”
Attendees that WCM spoke with noted that they were excited about the chance to walk through the more than 70 glamping units that were set up outside of the main conference hall. There was everything from bubble structures, canvas tents, park model RVs, cabins and even a structure from Universal Rocks that looked like something Fred Flinstone would live in.
Educational sessions explored influencer marketing, site design, off-grid issues, the basics that newbies to the industry need to be aware of and much more.
“It has been exciting to see how engaged everyone is and how the industry just continues to grow,” explained Korse.
Attendees also noted to WCM that the event’s networking opportunities were also invaluable as many bounced ideas off each other and were able to share things that worked or didn’t work.
Looking forward, Korse has announced the dates for next year’s show (Oct. 2-4) at the same location.
