The third annual Campground Owners Expo (COE) continued its expo on Thursday (Nov. 30), including a Lunch and Learn event. The conference is being hosted at the Hilton Branson Convention Center in Branson, Mo., and runs through Saturday.
Lori Severson, the owner of Severson & Associates and executive director of the Wisconsin Association of Campground Owners, who co-founded the event with Bud Styer, owner of Bud Styer Associates, in 2021.
COE broke up its expo into two, four-hour sessions at the front end of the conference after receiving feedback from vendors. Many of the vendors Woodall’s Campground Magazine spoke with reported that the new format seemed to increase the foot traffic at their booths and reported staying busy throughout the show.
After the expo wrapped up on Thursday morning, the afternoon Lunch & Learn Session featured Andrew Nussbaum, Cathy Stepp, Lori Severson and Stephanie Klett who all spoke on how park owners can create customer loyalty.
The session focused on how to entice groups, better market your park, work with the local community and more.
The agenda today includes even more educational sessions in the morning, followed by free time in the afternoon. Saturday’s events follow a similar format, with a large conference wrap-up party set to end the event.
