Dustin Johns

Dustin Johns, age 41, passed away Aug. 15 in Hallandale Beach, Fla., where he resided. He was born Sept.12, 1980, in Bremen, Ind., to Larry P, Sr. and Linda (Huff) Johns, according to his obituary by Thompson Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, Ind.. He grew up in Nappanee and was a 1999 graduate of NorthWood High School, having married Lindsey McCarthy in 2009 and moved together to Goshen.

After high school Dustin was involved in modeling while returning to Nappanee after college and working as a salesman for RV-builder Travel Lite Inc. in New Paris, Ind., which was owned by his father. He became president of the company and was best known for his innovative designs. In 2015 Dustin and Lindsey took ownership of Travel Lite RV when his late father retired, expanding the business to Syracuse. They sold it in 2020 and moved to Hallandale Beach, Fla., where he did day trading and owned Innovation LLC.

Dustin, the family reports, had an appreciation for the arts and music and was a member of the American Legion. In his spare time, he enjoyed working out, playing poker, luxury cars, baseball card trading, sports betting and being with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Lindsey; his children, Addison, Dylan and Bailey Johns; siblings, Larry Paul Jr.  (Anne) Johns, Teresa (Mark) Eads, Tami Vance, and Tara (Keith) Troyer; 4 nieces, 4 nephews, 2 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.

A Celebration of Life will take place from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 24, at American Legion Post 154 in Nappanee, Ind.
