Rob Grant

Steven Call

RV industry veterans Rob Grant and Steven Call of dealer management software supplier Lightspeed will share common inefficiencies found in the service department – which can cost a dealership thousands of dollars each year – during a session in the fixed operations education track at the 2022 RV Dealers Convention/Expo. The Convention/Expo will take place Nov. 7-11, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

The 45-minute workshop kicks off at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9. During “Are You Leaving Money on the Table in Your Service Department?” Grant and Call, who are both new presenters for the RVDA Convention/Expo, will look at proven processes that lead to improved department revenue by ensuring proper warranty claim processing occurs, technicians are working on revenue generating jobs, and tools are provided for techs and service writers to easily communicate with consumers on suggested services.

Learning objectives for this session include:

  • Techniques to ensure proper warranty claim processing occurs
  • Win-win upselling
  • Practices that help keep technicians working on revenue generating jobs

Grant has more than 27 years of RV, marine, and powersports industry experience and is director of OEM solutions at Lightspeed. Call has more than 24 years of RV, powersports, and marine industry experience and is training supervisor for Lightspeed’s Recreation Division.

About the RV Dealers Convention/Expo

Just as dealerships strive for continuous improvement, the RVDA Convention/Expo Committee is using the same principle when it comes to the RV Dealers Convention/Expo. The education program will provide segmented content based on dealership size, management structure, and revenue in addition to focusing on things dealers have in common.

The annual RVDA Convention/Expo brings together dealers, manufacturers, suppliers, and RV industry business partners for the premier dealer education and networking event of the year.
