Consumer Marketing
More than two decades since the program first began, Go RVing continues to be a marketing and consumer awareness thought-leader that has introduced millions of Americans to the freedom of RV travel and building a desire and passion of the adventures that await. Go RVing is supported by an ongoing partnership between the RV Industry Association and the RV Dealers Association.
Recently, we:
- Made 2 billion impressions in 2024, stretching across multiple platforms and inspiring consumers to Go RVing nationwide.
- Gained recognition alongside major brands for RV-Clipse glasses. This year, Go RVing took the opportunity to get RVing in front of more consumers and media outlets through an April Fools’ Day campaign featuring “RV-Clipse glasses.” This gained national attention, landed Go RVing in the company of other major brands, and built on April’s consumer trend of traveling by RV to view the eclipse.
- Hosted the third annual National Go RVing Day and, in doing so, brought RVing to millions. This special day, which calls on RV industry companies and consumers alike to celebrate the joys of RVing, was a hit on social media. It was also featured on national and local news segments and viewed by over four million people across the country.
- Partnered with social media influencers to showcase the flexibility and fun of RVing. Combined, these videos had over 30 million views, inspiring individuals from their 16 million followers to consider going RVing.
- Partnered with The Wild Robot movie to inspire families to embark on RV adventures. This collaboration aimed to foster a love for nature and a spirit of adventure among families, encouraging them to explore the outdoors and create lifelong memories through RV travel.
- Conducted a conducted a satellite media tour that broadcasted live TV segments and highlighted the RV industry’s newest products, which were on display at the Elkhart Open House.
- Updated the RV Consumer Demographic Profile, which is scheduled for release in 2025. As the RV industry’s customer profile continues to change, the 2024 RV Consumer Demographic Profile is being developed to gain deeper insights on ownership habits, similar to the segmentation completed for current owners in 2021. The study was conducted by market insights group Ipsos.
