RVIA: Emerging Leaders Coalition Hosts 4th Volunteer Event – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News
ELKHART, Ind. – On May 15, the RV Industry Association’s Emerging Leaders Coalition hosted its fourth annual All-Industry Volunteer Day. Over 300 volunteers participated in the event, which took place at Bonneyville Mill County Park in Elkhart, according to a report by the RV Industry Association (RVIA).

Volunteers spent the day painting and siding shelters, improving latrines, constructing new roofs, power washing shelters, replacing boardwalks, building park benches, conducting trail work, removing invasive species, replacing shelter windows and doors, and helping with mulching and landscaping.
The RV Industry Emerging Leaders Coalition is designed to strengthen institutional industry collaboration and engagement by identifying, recruiting, and retaining emerging industry leaders and harnessing and elevating diverse emerging industry leader perspectives.
The Coalition launched its annual volunteer project initiative in 2022 at Potato Creek State Park, following it up in 2023 at Ox Bow County Park and again in 2024 at Chain O’Lakes State Park. Over these past four years, a total of 1,400 volunteers have contributed more than 4,000 hours of service. The Coalition has left a lasting impact at these locations by constructing park facilities, repairing infrastructure, removing invasive species, and enhancing public spaces.
The RV Industry Association’s Emerging Leaders Coalition has been recognized with two prestigious awards for its accomplishments in supporting state parks through volunteerism. For their volunteer initiatives in Indiana State Parks, the Coalition received the 2024 National Association of State Park Directors President’s Award. Additionally, their 2022 project at Potato Creek State Park was honored with the 2023 Partnership Award by Indiana State Parks, which recognizes cooperative efforts between a property and a community organization that support projects and facilities to serve property guests.

The 2025 All-Industry Volunteer Day wouldn’t be possible without the support of companies across the RV industry. The Emerging Leaders Coalition would like to thank the following companies for sponsoring this event and supporting their local parks: Forest River, Lippert, Patrick Industries, GE Appliances, Keystone RV, ValleyScreen, Thetford Norcold, Alliance RV, Duo-Form, Ranger Distribution Inc., INTransport, LionsHead, Terran, Decron, Dometic, Airxcel, Dave Carter & Associates, Inc., Genesis Products, and Solution Source.
