John Tinghitella, president of RV Designer and the chairman of the steering team for the RV Industry Association (RVIA) Aftermarket Committee, announced this week that the group, in partnership with Go RVing, has that committee’s Consumer Outreach Task Force has produced its first training video to help new RVers “get started.”

“Several years ago we adjusted our RV Aftermarket Committee Charter to focus on achieving consumer satisfaction with aftermarket parts & accessories,” Tinghitella stated in the announcement. “During the 2021 Aftermarket Conference Workshop we reaffirmed our mission to understand, connect with and serve the RVer. The Consumer Outreach Task Force, lead by Raymond Padgett, grew out of this, and has been working in collaboration with Go RVing on the initiative.”

The Consumer Outreach Task Force has launched the first video of a nine-part series to help inform first-time RVers so they may have a better experience at the campground, Tinghitella continued. The Aftermarket segment designs, builds and deploys products that consumers use after they buy an RV, helping in the world of accessorizing, upgrade, replacement and repair. This video series is designed to highlight how acquiring, installing and using these products greatly affects satisfaction with the RV lifestyle and will lead to a more enjoyable experience.

The complete video series will be broken into three videos for each of three categories (travel trailers, fifth-wheels and motorhomes) and will cover setup at a campground, backing up and hooking up the RV, weight distribution and overall maneuvering. This first video (above) provides helpful tips for setting up your travel trailer at the campground.
