RV Technical Institute Outlines Summer Recruitment Events

As 2023 marches on, the RV Technical Institute (RVTI) is continuing its efforts to recruit more RV technicians into the industry through an increased marketing campaign and presence at consumer and industry shows, according to a News & Insights report by the RV Industry Association (RVIA). RVTI is also expanding the number of partnerships with RV dealerships across the country. In addition, the RVTI team will once again recruit 1,000 new technicians this year.

Check out the events that the Institute is participating in this summer to continue spreading the word:

  1. June 5, Ontario, Calif.: Institute representatives attended the 17th Great Homeschool Convention’s California. This event was targeted at California and surrounding area homeschool parents to provide them with resources for their children and family members.
  2. July 10-13, Dallas, Texas: The RV Technical Institute will also be participating in the Career and Technical Association of Texas’s Annual Conference in Dallas, Texas. The event targets Texas career and technical education teachers, counselors, and administrators.
  3. July 15-18, Atlanta, Ga.: Also in July, the Institute will be at the American School Counselor Association Annual Conference in Georgia. This event is targeted toward school counselors from all over the country, providing them with resources to educate their students on skilled trade career options. Students may be able to graduate with an RV Technical Institute certification and obtain a career as an RV technician right out of high school.
  4. Aug. 20-23, Portland, Ore.: Later in the summer, the Institute will participate in the Correctional Education Association International Conference, which is targeted towards correctional facility education faculty. The Institute has previously worked with correctional facility populations to help reduce recidivism and gain employment upon release.
  5. Sept. 7-10, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.: The RV Technical Institute is also attending the Florida RV Trade Association event, a networking event for dealers and members.
  6. Sept. 11-17, Hershey, Pa.: Halfway through September, the RV Technical Institute will also attend the Pennsylvania RV and Campground Association annual trade show to educate consumers on the Institute certification and recruit new RV technicians.
  7. Sept. 17-19, Murfreesboro, Tenn.: The RV Technical Institute will be participating in the Tennessee School Counselor Association Annual Conference. Targeting Tennessee school counselors, this event provides educators with resources to inform students about skilled trade options after graduation. This includes information on the RV technician career path.
