Founder and CEO of RV Sales of Broward (also known as PlanetRV), Gigi Stetler and her non-profit organization, the RV Advisor Consumer Association (RVACA), are once again coordinating a disaster relief effort by collecting and distributing supplies to help victims of Hurricane Ian, according to a release. RVACA is accepting monetary donations through its emergency relief fund while non-perishable food, clothes, and personal hygiene items can be dropped off at the RV Sales of Broward headquarters in Dania Beach, Fla.

“My heart goes out to everyone who has been impacted by this terrible disaster,” said Gigi Stetler, Founder and CEO of RV Sales of Broward. “Those of us living on the east coast of Florida were fortunate to be out of Hurricane Ian’s path; now it is up to us to do whatever we can to help our fellow Floridians on the west coast. We have been using our RVs to deliver canned food and urgent basic supplies to the impacted areas, and we will continue to do so for as long as it takes until long-term help for the victims arrives.”

In addition to providing victims with urgent supplies, Stetler has donated more than 20 RVs so far as emergency housing for first responders in the Fort Myers area. RV Sales of Broward has also been working with individual insurance companies to make its large inventory available for rent or purchase for relief to families in Southwest Florida.

For Stetler, disaster response has become second nature. Founder of the first female-owned RV company in the U.S., she has been involved in disaster relief efforts for more than 30 years.

Stetler previously donated RVs and relief supplies to victims of Hurricanes Andrew, Katrina, Irma, Michael, Dorian, and many others. RVACA also played a key role in providing emergency housing to frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Monetary donations can be made by selecting “Disaster Relief Fund” on RVACA’s donation page at: https://panel.rvaca.org/Donate. The nonprofit is also accepting canned goods, diapers and formula, linens, and other supplies. Vacant RVs can be donated or rented to RVACA tax-free. Donations can be brought to the RV Sales of Broward storefront located at 2051 Griffin Road, Dania Beach, FL 33312.

A fearless entrepreneur, Gigi Stetler created and leads the first female-owned RV company in the United States, RV Sales of Broward. With 35 years of experience in the industry, she is one of a handful of top RV experts in the country. Stetler also launched and runs RV Advisor- an online platform that is considered the “Angie’s List” of the RV industry. She is also the founder of the non-profit RV Advisor Consumer Association (RVACA).
