A selection of cool 2025-model motorhomes and towables that highlight the ever-evolving RV world.

November/December 2024

T his is an exciting time of year if you are an RVer getting ready to trade in your current RV for a new model, or if you’re someone taking that first step into owning a travel trailer, fifth-wheel, or motorhome. As evidenced by the number of new models and floor plans being shown on dealer lots across the United States and Canada, the design teams at North American RV manufacturers have been busy this past year.

From Airstream to Winnebago, and dozens of other well-known RV companies and brands in between, there’s never been a better time to find a model and floor plan that’s a perfect fit for your family RVing needs.

Plenty of opportunities exist to check out the newest models at RV shows, conventions, dealerships, and more. Here is a tiny snapshot of new RVs and floor plans that caught our eye.

One of the nicest brand-new, entry-level travel trailers is the single-axle Jay Feather Air 18MBH. It’s part of the recently introduced Jay Feather Air series, whose four floor plans are designed for RVers looking for a small, ultra-lightweight (5,650-pound GVWR), well-insulated travel trailer. The 23-foot-long 18MBH sleeps four. It includes a rear bathroom adjacent to the bunk beds, a cool flip-up dining bar across from a small slideout that holds the kitchen appliances, and a convertible Murphy bed up front. Jayco officials report more than 24 new floor plans are available within the 2025 Jayco towable lines.

The biggest challenge with camper vans is sleeping space. That’s where the 2025 Dazzle 2HB, and its twin the Twist – new entry-level Class B motorhomes from Thor Motor Coach – shine. The 2HB is the newest of four floor plans available in the Dazzle and Twist lines. Based on the Ram ProMaster 3500 high-roof van, this unit is furnished with both a pull-out bench and a tri-pullout sofa that essentially turn the interior into one giant bed of comfy cushions. The 24-gallon gas tank, 6-foot-3-inch interior height, hitch rating of 3,500 pounds, and 9,350-pound GVWR make this a comfortable van for multiday getaways and cross-country touring.

RVers looking for an elegant, spacious fifth-wheel for extended stays may find the 2025 Roost43 from Salem Hemisphere (and Wildwood Heritage Glen) to be a great choice. That’s because it’s a hybrid — a new segment in the RV industry that combines the ambience and features of a destination trailer in an easily towable, spacious fiver. The two-level, five-slideout design of this 43-foot-9-inch, 18,780-pound-GVWR trailer has a whopping 530-square-foot floor plan, which offers 25 percent more living space than a traditional destination trailer. The 1½-bath Roost43 has a long list of standard features; they include residential-sized appliances, a king-size bed upstairs in front, plus a king bed in the upstairs mid-loft and bunks in the rear. It comes with a side-by-side washer and dryer, two electric fireplaces, an L-shaped sectional sofa, a 65-inch TV, a JBL sound system, and even a pair of exterior mini fridges.

The new XL 40H Class A Cummins diesel-pusher motorhome retains the sophisticated décor, sumptuous hardwoods, luxurious seating, and attention to detail found in the five other floor plans in the Berkshire line. The XL 40H, a 1½-bath, triple-slideout, 41-foot-long coach, has a full bath in the rear next to the bedroom (with a king-size Tilt-A-View bed), a midship half-bath, and a spacious living area. The galley in this all-electric motorhome features a 23-cubic-foot fridge, a 30-inch microwave-convection oven, a two-burner induction cooktop, and a dishwasher. Triple A/C units, a heated floor, six body paint schemes, and a new two-tone interior décor package are just a small sample of what the 40H offers.

Another new hybrid is the RV Suite 3, a travel trailer/destination trailer from Forest River. The 40-foot-long RVS3 floor plan, with an unloaded vehicle weight of 10,490 pounds, offers a thicker sidewall than a traditional travel trailer, with more interior room and high-end amenities versus other bumper-pull campers. Multizone heating, a big loft, a central vacuum, a waterfall shower, and a fully enclosed underbelly are just a few of its standard features. This NoBo also sports double slideouts and a remote desk-style work area in the rear king suite. The rear sun porch is fixed, with access via a sliding-glass door. Behind the porch is a grill that attaches to the hitch receiver.
