  • SylvanSport Launches New Micro Adventure Series Towables: 2024 marks the 20th anniversary of SylvanSport and to celebrate, the company has launched a new line of lightweight towables. Dubbed the Micro Adventure Series (MAS), the latest addition to the company’s line-up takes a modular approach to camping. The components include the Loft Rooftop Tent, the Go Easy HD Bike and Kayak Trailer, and the Trailoft HD Micro Camper. Those various elements are designed to complement one another, giving buyers an opportunity to create the lightweight towable that best fits their needs.   • Jayco Adds Airxcel InVision Appliances to 2025 Trailers: RV components manufacturer Airxcel announced this week that it has entered into a partnership with Jayco to put InVision appliances in 2025 RVs. Expect the new model year Jay Flight and Lightweight series to include refrigerators, microwaves, and cooktops from the InVision brand moving forward.

  • Dometic Launches New Premium Soft Coolers: Dometic is well known for its line of portable refrigerators, but this week, it got into the business of premium soft coolers. The new PSC series backpack coolers are available in 9L, 19L, and 22L sizes and include 100% leakproof zippers, an IPX6 waterproof rating, excellent insulation, and rugged construction.   • AdventureGenie Adds Natural Language Processing to RV Trip Planner: AdventureGenie is an AI-powered trip planner designed specifically for RVers and road trippers. It not only finds the best routes, points of interest, and activities, it also suggests campgrounds to stay in along the way. This week, the company announced it has added Natural Language Processing, making it easier than ever to ask questions and request information from the Personal Genie artificial intelligence.   • USA Today Salutes Winnebago’s Climate Efforts: This week, national newspaper USA Today announced its selection of the 2024 Climate Leaders, a list of companies making significant efforts to reduce their carbon footprint. This year, that list not only included the usual suspects of tech companies and healthcare providers, but also legendary RV manufacturer Winnebago. The company was lauded for its 38.6% reduction in emissions over the last few years and its efforts to reduce the amount of waste going into landfills.   • Campspot Survey Sheds Light on Current Camping Trends: If you’ve been feeling stressed about politics and the economy this year, you aren’t alone. According to a recent survey conducted by campground discovery platform Campspot, 72% of us are having those feelings right now, and 73% say those conditions are impacting their travel plans for 2024.   • Study Shares Most Popular Destinations for New RV Owners: RV Trader has conducted a study of its own, this time examining the most popular destinations for new RV owners. The website for buying and selling campers found that Texas, California, and Florida were unsurprisingly among the top destinations but were joined by North Carolina, Arizona, and Colorado, as well.
