  • Bowlus Launches New Rivet Travel Trailer: Bowlus makes some of the most aspirational travel trailers on the market, deftly blending retro styling with modern technology. This week, the company expanded its line-up by adding an exciting new model called the Rivet. This lightweight offering tips the scales at just 3,500 pounds but is packed with a slew of high-tech amenities. For instance, it can be equipped with a self-propulsion system that allows owners to move it using their smartphone. It also has more than 8kWh of power, enabling it to stay off-grid for days at a time. The trailer sleeps four, has hydronic heating, an onboard A/C, an induction cooktop, a microwave, a 12V fridge, and many other amazing features. Best of all, it has a starting price of $165,000, making the Rivet the most affordable Bowlus trailer yet. Read more about it here.

  • Rivian Announces R2, R3, and R3X EVs: Electric vehicle start-up Rivian had a big week, announcing three new models set to go into production over the next few years. The company first took the wraps off of its R2 SUV, a smaller version of its existing R1S model. The R2—which begins shipping in 2026 with a starting price of $45,000—was expected, but the brand surprised analysts with the reveal of the R3 and R3X, a small crossover vehicle with a sporty rally-car look. No word on pricing or availability for the R3, but watch the Rivian website for future updates.
  • InTech Renames Terra Travel Trailer: Innovative travel trailer manufacturer InTech announced this week that it is renaming its popular Terra travel trailer. The re-badging comes after a lengthy legal dispute with Forest River over the Terra name. Moving forward, the RV previously known as the InTech Terra will be called the Aucta, which isn’t quite as memorable but still offers the same excellent quality and features.
  • Yellowstone National Park Gets $40 Million Anonymous Donation: Anonymous donors have made a very generous donation to Yellowstone National Park. The National Park Service and National Park Foundation announced that $40 million was gifted to the park to improve key infrastructure, including employee housing. The money will fund 70 new modular homes to address a dramatic shortage of affordable accommodations for park staff. Read more about this development here.

  • VanLab Turns Your SUV into an RV: Want to turn your daily-driver SUV into a comfortable camper for weekend getaways? A company called VanLab offers stylish and well-designed kits that can do just that. The kits fit inside most popular SUV models and offer options to add a kitchen, bed, onboard storage, and additional cushions. Prices start at $1,950. Visit the VanLap website for photos of this amazing set-up.
  • Super Pacific Adds Support for Truma Furnace: This week, lightweight truck camper manufacturer Super Pacific announced it has added support for the Truma VarioHeat furnace. The unit is an optional add-on for the company’s X1 camper, mounting under the X1’s canopy door and offering an external propane port. The VarioHeat not only provides warmth for cold-weather outings, but helps reduce condensation as well.
  • Flatbike Debuts New Folding Adventure Bike: Flatbike—a company that specializes in folding bikes—announced a new model this week. The Change is a versatile, go-anywhere adventure bike that just so happens to fold down to a very small size when not in use. That makes it an excellent option for RVers who like to explore on two wheels, but are limited on storage space. The Change starts at $2,080.

That’s all for this week. Come back next Friday for another edition of our weekly news round-up.
