It is the first rate increase since 2017 for the organization, which has seen record numbers of visitors to its public lands in recent years. Most fees will go up between $2 and $5, with the first price hikes coming on October 15 for campsite reservations for next year. Most of the other higher rates will go into effect on January 1, 2025. • Check Out the Hunter RMV GLOBeRANGER Overland Vehicle: Speaking of GearJunkie; this week, the website’s resident vehicles editor took a look at an intriguing new Overlander. The GLOBeRANGER 4X4 comes our way via a company called Hunter RMV, which specializes in rugged off-roaders. • KOA Shares Insights into the Changing Landscape of Camping: A new study from Kampgrounds of America shares some insights into the changing landscape of recreational camping, and in particular, RV camping. KOA’s data shows that 37% of consumers have chosen to use RV accommodations when staying at a campground. Of those, 8 out of 10 who say they are not regular campers indicate they prefer that the vehicle be set up upon arrival, while 7 out of 10 people who camp regularly say the same. In other words, more people are staying at commercial campgrounds and the vast majority of them prefer their accommodations be set up and waiting for them when they arrive. Internet access is also important, with most of those surveyed saying they would camp longer provided they have a good internet connection. Sustainable practices are also increasingly of value, with more than half indicating they would choose a campground that is more environmentally friendly over one that isn’t. • Grand Design Intros New Lift Bed in Momentum Toy Hauler: Grand Design’s Momentum toy hauler is already a pretty sweet rig, but in 2025 it is set to get even better. • California Passes New Legislation to Protect RV Owners and Manufacturers: Apparently, the caseload for the California judicial system by motor vehicle owners seeking warranty relief is so large that new legislation had to be passed to alleviate it. Last week, Governor Gavin Newsom signed bill AB 1755 into law, guaranteeing car, truck, SUV, and RV owners with warranty claims will have their issues and needs met in a speedier fashion. The bill is aimed to lessen the aforementioned caseload by incentivizing consumers and auto manufacturers to resolve their differences in a more timely fashion by encouraging early mandatory mediation, streamlining document production, and fast-tracking civil procedure. Seem like a lot to take in? Don’t worry; RV Pro has all the details.

And that’s a wrap for this week. See you next Friday for another edition of our weekly RV industry news wrap-up.
