COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Grand Rivers Ballroom at Cheyenne Mountain Resort was pleasantly pack Monday night as Route 66 RV Network member dealers gathered for the Opening Night reception.

Network Partner and Co-Founder Rob Merrill had said before the 20th annual rally that he expected more than 80% of the membership to be in attendance, but with a tough economy and numbers down at the recent Elkhart RV Open House, it wouldn’t have been a huge surprise to see a smaller crowd.

Monday night’s event brought plenty of networking and shop talk along with hugs and back-slapping as dealers renewed acquaintances.

The overall mood was quite positive with conversations ranging from shared struggles over the summer month to products and accessories that have performed surprisingly well during the same period.

The full rally gets going Tuesday with an opening session followed by a pair of dealer-only sessions. The partner expo opens at 2 p.m. with an evening rally dinner and entertainment closing things out.
