Report: NHTSA Releases its Latest Rundown of RV Recalls

EDITOR’S NOTE: The following is the latest list of RV recalls compiled by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Per strict NHTSA protocols, manufacturers will next notify its dealer partners of the recall notice. Each notice will include details of the affected vehicles as well as the appropriate remedy.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling 11,074 2022-2023 E-350, E-450, and 2021-2022 F-59 vehicles. The paint along the weld seam of the fuel tank may peel and lead to corrosion of the exposed metal, which can result in a fuel leak. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Jan. 23, 2023.

Airstream Inc. (Airstream) is recalling 1,992 2017-2022 Basecamp 16, and 2021-2022 Basecamp 20 travel trailers. The adhesive bond between the glass and metal frame of the entry door window can fail, causing the glass to separate from the frame. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Feb. 13, 2023.
