Public invited to learn more about Wisconsin’s Lake Winnebago sturgeon, walleyes Jan. 22 – Outdoor News

Lake Winnebago system lake sturgeon and walleye enthusiasts interested in learning more about both species may attend an in-person and virtual session entitled The Winnebago System: History And Status of Lake Sturgeon And Walleye Management on Jan. 22 from 6-8 p.m.

The session will be presented by members of the DNR’s Lake Winnebago fisheries team.

Learn about the history and status of lake sturgeon and walleye management in the Winnebago system from DNR senior fisheries biologists Margaret Stadig and Angelo Cozzola. This meeting is part of the DNR’s Northeast Wisconsin Fisheries Spotlight Series, which allows the public to learn about game fish management and meet the DNR staff members working in northeast Wisconsin.
