Pine Mountain RV Resort in Georgia
Although South Carolina and Florida often steal the spotlight, Georgia is a state in the southeast that should not be overlooked when you’re searching for your next RV destination. It’s warm year-round, has beautiful forests, and is home to some truly exceptional resorts and campgrounds. For example, Pine Mountain RV Resort stands out thanks to its upscale amenities and premium location.
This campground is only one hour away from Atlanta. This makes it easy to camp close to the big city, while still keeping a bit of distance. The famous retreat of Callaway Resort & Gardens is also right in the neighborhood! You get the best of both worlds when you stay at this excellent resort.
Georgia is full of campgrounds, parks, and vacation spots. So what makes Pine Mountain RV Resort stand out?
Overview
Pine Mountain RV Resort is located in Pine Mountain, Georgia. Pine Mountain is a small town in the woods, surrounded by scenic lakes and rivers. It’s the perfect retreat for anyone who wants to enjoy a serene and peaceful campground.
But as mentioned previously, large cities like Atlanta, Montgomery, and Birmingham are only about an hour away. With this location, you’re never too far from a live concert, a sporting event, a fine restaurant, or a major shopping center.
As for the resort itself, it’s outfitted with everything you need to have a wonderful trip. The campground features 225 sites, and these are a mix of premium RV sites, cabins, glamping tents, and furnished yurts. So if you want to shake things up and spend a night away from your vehicle, you’ve got plenty of options here.
Each RV site comes with full hookups, including electrical with 30/50 amps. The park roads are all paved and the sites are level, so it’s easy to get in and out of your spot. Landscaping is also included, so each location has a patch of healthy grass and some even have large shade trees. Picnic tables, fire rings, and free Wi-Fi are also available at every RV site.
Thanks to the warm climate that this region enjoys, the resort is open for business all year long. The forests and lakes will help you keep cool in the summer, while the mild winters are easy to weather.
Rates
When you hear the word “resort” you might shudder at the price tag that usually comes along with that. It’s true that many luxury resorts around the country can easily cost more than $100 per night. But at Pine Mountain RV Resort, the rates are more reasonable and you’ll have a variety of options.
The average nightly rates are listed below. Bear in mind that you can either pay a nonrefundable price that’s slightly cheaper, or a peace of mind price that’s a little more expensive.
- RV Deluxe Pull-Through (Wooded): $60–$65 per night
- RV Premium Pull-Through: $70–$77 per night
- RV Premium Plus Pull-Through: $75–$83 per night
- RV Executive Pull-Through: $80–$89 per night
There are also several cabins, yurts, and glamping tent sites here. These range in price and size, with the smallest options sleeping four people and the largest accommodating up to eight. They generally cost between $180–$250 per night, so they are more expensive. But they also come with extra space and furnishings.

Amenities

In addition to the premium campsites, this RV resort also offers a suite of amenities and perks for guests to enjoy.
All the basics are covered, such as modern bathrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. But the Pine Mountain RV Resort goes above and beyond with so much more!
Like many resorts, this location offers a pool, but it also comes with a splash pad for kids, a wading pool, a hot tub, and steam showers too! The whole family can find something to enjoy here and there’s no need to overheat in the Georgia summers. (These water features are open on a seasonal basis, closing on November 1 each year.)
Kids will love the on-site playground as well. It’s close to the pool complex, so parents can keep an eye on everyone, no matter where they’re playing. Pets will also love running free in the “Bark Park” and all the surrounding green areas.
There’s also a large activities pavilion where you can meet with groups for games and exercise. Fire pits and picnic tables also provide a place to enjoy some outdoor fun.
But if things get a little too hot for comfort, you can also retreat indoors. This resort has a spacious and modern clubhouse, complete with a book exchange program, hosting areas, a fireplace, and a large TV.
There’s also a on-site camp store that’s well-stocked with campground essentials. Here you can find toiletries, snacks, gifts, and a selection of coffee, beer, and wine. Guests can also rent a variety of outdoor games from this store, including cornhole and Jumbo Jenga.
Nearby Activities/Attractions
Although Pine Mountain is a small town, it still has plenty to do if you camp in the area!
Those seeking an outdoor adventure may want to visit the F.D. Roosevelt State Park, or spend a day touring the Wild Animal Safari or Cecil B. Day Butterfly Center.
People who want to visit historical or educational sites may enjoy a trip to the Chipley Historical Center or a tour through the Ida Carson Callaway Memorial Chapel.
But the star of the show is certainly the Callaway Gardens. Many of these attractions are located within the borders of this popular resort complex. Its campus includes golf courses, bird shows, concert venues, zip lines, rental recreation equipment, and much more!
Those who want to camp close to these attractions would be well-suited to stay at Pine Mountain RV Resort. It’s a great way to stay close to the action, while still having a separate place to relax and unwind.
