Passionate Plea Highlights 1st Day of Alliance RV’s ‘Ally Rally’

A passionate RV owner said she and her husband didn’t just purchase an Alliance RV, they also bought the company that stands behind the product they make.

Fighting through tears, an Alliance RV owner tried to tell Ryan and Coley Brady just how much her fifth wheel means to her.

“We didn’t just buy an RV; we bought a company,” she was able to say, after having been overcome by emotions several times.

She implored the Brady brothers, both industry veterans who formed Elkhart, Ind.-based Alliance RV some five years ago, to continue to remain independently owned so they could continue to focus on the customer experience.

That passionate plea highlighted Wednesday’s opening day of the 2023 Alliance RV Ally Rally, which runs through Friday at the Elkhart County Fairgrounds in Goshen, Ind. Featuring training seminars, supplier booths, service work and plenty of food, fun and fellowship, the Ally Rally includes 288 Alliance RVs and about 600 people. This was the first time at the Rally for about 60% of the participants, officials said.

“That was pretty cool,” said Coley Brady, when asked about the woman’s heartfelt comments. “It’s a family, and it truly is a tight-knit group. And seeing tears come out of her eyes and truly just enjoying this whole experience is pretty incredible, and we as a team are pretty proud of what it’s all become.

“That’s the culture we’ve created,” he continued, “and it’s not from the top. That culture’s really fostered and created at the customer level and our team member level. So, with all that in combination, makes you feel pretty proud and pretty happy to see it all come together.”

Echoing those sentiments was Bill Martin, vice president of customer service at Alliance. He noted that the first Ally Rally four years ago only had about 50 units.

“It’s very surreal as someone who was very early on in the company, just to see the growth that we’ve had in the community – more importantly than the product,” he said. “The community that’s been built of Alliance owners are different. Out in the field, if they see somebody struggling or wanting to know how something works, it’s family helping family. It’s really just a great community.”

That community is what makes Alliance RV different, Brady added, and what makes the Ally Rally so special.

“The best part for me is seeing the smiles and all the faces and reconnecting with some past friends and really seeing these customers enjoying the experience of being an Alliance RV product owner,” he said. “And it’s been great. It was an incredible crowd. We have 600-plus people here just of people attending the rally, plus some of our team members here and all that in combination, really creates a pretty gratifying and fun experience.”
