Overland Series 240TKR Joins the Fleet at Ember RV – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News
BRISTOL, Ind. – Ember Recreational Vehicles has unveiled its most innovative Overland Series floorplan to date, the 240TKR, an industry-first, fully-reconfigurable, open-garage-gear-hauler concept, at its annual New Product Expo held for dealers in its on-campus campground last week, according to a press release from the company.
The new travel trailer will be making its public debut at this weekend’s Overland Expo East in Arrington, Virginia. The ramp door equipped gear hauler is built on Ember’s Trailblazer™ Chassis featuring the Curt trailing arm independent suspension and prominently uses the company’s patent-pending EmberTrack system through the design.
“Current customers and interested buyers have been asking for ‘an Ember toy hauler’ since the original introduction of our Overland Series in late 2021,” said Chris Barth, Founder and COO of Ember about the new Overland Series 240TKR. “Customers saw the overland potential provided by the Curt independent suspension and our off grid solar upgrades coupled with the quality that Ember delivers, so we’re excited to introduce this new floor plan to our lineup.”
The 240TKR features a 90” x 72” rear ramp door that can be used as a “party deck” that opens to the open concept gear garage, perfect for hauling dirt bikes, golf carts, kayaks, motorcycles, quads, cargo, e-bikes, or even grill equipment. The bunk platforms can also be used as storage shelving or desktop space. The front end features Ember’s patent-pending twin-king reconfigurable bed.
“The 240TKR not only has massively flexible gear storage and bunk space in the rear, but an extremely unique front bed set up with our brand new twin-king reconfigurable space. I’m extremely proud of what the team designed and the versatility it offers. It will allow owners to set up their sleeping situation differently each trip since it can easily convert from a standard King-sized bed to two twin beds. It’s like a Swiss Army knife,” stated Barth.
Designed and built to go off-road and off-grid directly from the factory, the Overland Series feature the award-winning Curt™ independent trailing-arm suspension with heavy-duty coil springs and dual shock absorbers on each side along with Goodyear Wrangler off-road tires, a huge Stargazer European window skylight above the master bed(s), 81-gallon total fresh water tank capacity, a unique composite-material structural build, and a capable standard off-grid solar package straight from the factory. It’s all backed by an industry-leading easy as 1-2-3 warranty, giving customers the peace of mind they deserve as they head out on their adventures.
The 240TKR will be showcased at the Overland Expo East in Arrington, VA, starting Friday and through the weekend. Ember’s website will be updated with more information on this specific floorplan in the coming weeks.
